Harding hits century

Valley's Thomas Harding(119) emulated the efforts of his father, Andrew who  on the November the fourth  was unbeaten on 114 against Union. Thomas' innings contained  fourteen fours and three sixes as Valley batting first against Albion went on to make 238 for seven in the forty over match at Weston Park. Thomas got support from Hamish Loe who made and unbeaten 42.Sam Fleming and Dylan Winter took two wickets each for Albion.

Despite a ninety one run second wicket stand between Steve Halliwell(62) and Jonty Naylor(41) and support from Winter(29) and Fleming(27) Albion was  twenty runs short of a winning target when the final wicket fell in the thirty ninth over. Nathan McLaughlin, Ben Mavor and Hamish Loe took two wickets each.

In a forty five over game Union defeated Oamaru/SKC by sixty two runs and King George Park. Batting first Union bolstered by some good batting from Sam Bastin(87) and Blake James(43 not out) Union made 227 for eight with Nick Johnston taking five for 33 for Oamaru.Oamaru/SKC  lost its tenth wicket with the total at 164 with Matt Murphy(22), Matt Green(24) and Nick Johnston(32) the best of the Oamaru batsmen. Bowling for Union Blake James and Hayden Creedy took two wickets each.
