BillyLooking to be the next Billy Bowden? the next Francis Payne? Or just looking to do something on those long summer days? be part of the North Otago cricket scene as an umpire or scorer with the North Otago Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association (NOCUSA).

The North Otago Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association is dedicated to the training of and assisting both umpires and scorers to become the best they can be. Upon gaining entry to NOCUSA, members are provided with an information pack and are given access to a large array of documents released by New Zealand Cricket each year on umpiring and scoring.

The Association follows the New Zealand Cricket Umpires Career Path (image below) where by as umpires proceed up through the various levels of cricket they also gain qualifications and accreditations.

One of the NOCUSA members, Derek Walker umpired in the State Championship Final during the season (2006-07) and has been the fourth umpire during one day internationals.

For further information or have any questions contact the NOCUSA training officer Terry Lake 4345959.

Remember: Billy Bowden started out umpiring in club cricket.
