The Umpires Trophy is awarded to the captain who is deemed to be the best captain of any side in the North Otago Competition.

The trophy was orignally donated by the local umpires who would then judge the winner of it. With the collapse of the local umpiring assocaition it is now voted on by the captains of the senior competition teams.
