Dismissing North Otago for 64 runs in its second innings at the University Oval yesterday, the Otago B cricket won the two-day game by an innings and 48 runs.
Otago B resumed its first innings at 70 for two in reply to North Otago's 109 scored in the first day, and by lunch was able to declare at 221 for five.
C.R.W. Dickell was top scorer with 79 before he was stumped off the slow left-arm bowling of N. McKenzie. The team added 151 runs to its overnight total in 112 minutes before lunch.
North Otago's batsmen had no answer to the slow left-arm spin of J. Mahoney (who took seven for 16) in its second innings and was all out for 64. Opener R. Wilson (24) was the only batsman to reach double figures.
