Canterbury B Much Too Strong For North Otago
Jeremy Smith in action bowling against South Canterbury. Smith would take 13 wickets in the match
Thursday, 2 January 1964

The North Otago side playing a Canterbury B team just managed in two innings to reach Canterbury's first innings score. Their second essay opened more promisingly but the later order, except for Cartwright, showed no enterprise and little know-how. Bolton's slow spinners, though lacking great devil, proved too much for most of the local batsmen.
