Union ended Valley's winning run in the Dick Hunt trophy 20/20 final with a decisive 52 run win at King George Park on Saturday.

Union won the toss and elected to bat first on its home pitch.

At the halfway mark Union was looking solid at 81 for one with James Cutt on 50. Duncan Drew (25) and Mathew Cutt (25) gave James Cutt excellent support as the Englishman batted through the innings to be unbeaten on 102, although he was dropped three times while in single figures.

Union finished with 175 for three, Union struck early in the Valley innings, removing danger man Kelvin Mansfield for 12, caught of the bowling of Dan Conlon.

After nine overs, Valley was 55 for two, needing to score at better than 10 runs an over to win. The innings ended in the 18th over with Valley all out for 123. Nick Webster made 40 and Mark Patterson (23) were the best of the Valley batsmen.
Dickinson finished the innings with four for 20.
