In a bright cricket game at St Kevin's College grounds yesterday I.T. Geddes, playing for North Otago scored an enterprising century with only one chance, in 120 minutes.

In the course of the day's cricket the teams scored 434 runs in 287 minutes, and in doing so delighted a good crowd.

Apart from I. Geddes, J. Wilson 23 and R. Grant 14 were the only batsmen to reach double figures. For Lankford Smith's Eleven G. Tait 30 and R Hendry (68) gave the side an opening score of 109 and T. Flaws (35) spinner Moir 36, and G. Anderson, 18 also helped to build the total of 248.
