North Otago Collapse Before Canterbury B
Francois Mostert bowls against Bullar in the Hawke Cup Challenge
Tuesday, 31 December 1963

A strong Canterbury B team was dismissed by North Otago for 180 runs on the School wicket yesterday. Most of these runs were made by Bolton and K. Thomson, both of whom have in recent years been in the Canterbury side. Considering the state of the outfield and the sodden wicket, these two made their runs rapidly and Thomson batted really vigorously. R. Mitchell had a wicket to suit them and claimed seven victims at the cost of ten apiece.

The North Otago batsmen had no counter to the bowling of B. Sharp and at the close of play, half the side had compounded with the total at only 32.
