Joshua Camplin scores 139 not out
Tim O'Malley looks to hit square against Otago Country, Tim would score 95 in North Otago's first innings total of 352

Well what a day for North Otago 5/6 team and for Dunedin Gold too.

Although Joshua Camplin did compile a 139 Not Out in North Otago’s 222 for 6 Dunedin Gold really attacked well to get to 161. Bear in mind for those that are not aware they were bowled out recently in the 20’s so well done on a huge effort to Phil and his team what a turnaround Dunedin Gold!

Batting in the heat for 35 overs right through and scoring 139 is a big effort but partnerships from team mates is what makes this effort possible.  Ben Paton (12)and Joshua put on 23, Andrew (5) and Joshua put on 18, William (10)and Joshua put on 75, James (First Rep Game 9) and Joshua put on 57, Ben Mavor (7 Not Out) and Joshua put on 44 partnerships will always make good scores.

For Dunedin Billy and Isaac put on a great opening 58, Hamish and William 35, George and Sam 29.

Ben’s innings of 19 and George of 12 Not Out were notable.

Opening bowling was wayward for North Otago but it was tidied up well however 45 extras was high.

Well done to James O’Reilly - four wickets for 15 runs off 4 overs.
Other wicket takers
Sam: two wickets for 4 runs off 2 overs.
Joshua: one wicket for 20 runs off 4 overs.
Ben Paton: one wicket for 4 runs off 2 overs.
William: one wicket for 16 runs off 4 overs.
Ben Mavor: one wicket for 2 runs off 1 over.
Josh F and Morgan Sim missed out due to dropped catches but deserved a wicket each.

For Dunedin Ethan (2 wickets), George (1 wicket), Isaac (1 Wicket), Ben (1 Wicket), Hamish (1 wicket)

I thought Ben and Isaac’s bowling was the highlight.

One thing I noticed by both teams was some fantastic keeping - 14 byes off the bowling was quite incredible with 3 only for Dunedin. Otago cricket is so well served for keepers.
