A North Otago Invitation X1 beat the New South Wales country under 17 from the Mitchell Cricket Association by 11 runs at Whitestone Contracting stadium yesterday. North Otago batted first and was dismissed in the 46th over for 157. Stu Dickinson and Thomas Shields each scored 30 while John Blakely at eight added 26 runs which included five fours. Bowling for the Mitchell X1 Joey Coughland took three for 19 while Jackson Coote and Matt Morrow claimed two wickets each.

Mitchell opener Matt Findlay featured in an opening stand 35 before he was dismissed for 30 while the only other batsmen to fire were Dave Sellers(24) ad Joey Coughlan(21 not out). Bowling for North Otago Paul O'Dell and Stu Dickinson took three wickets each while Glynn Cameron took two for 21.
