Union and Oamaru had wins while the Valley Glenavy game was abandoned in the latest Borton Cup fixtures.

At St Kevins, it was a top-of-the-table clash between St Kevins and Oamaru.

St Kevins won the toss and asked Oamaru to bat first. Half-centuries were made by Luke Taylor 50 and Stephan Grobler 58, Oamaru bowled all out for 187 runs in 44.2 overs.

Liam Direen cleaned up the tail taking 4-20 of his 6.2 overs, and Liam Cameron 3-40 of 8.

It was a good start from openers Jack Kelly 33 and Campbell Fowler 29, but the home side soon struggled in its chase. Oscar Waldron 22, added some respectability to the total in the lower order, but St Kevins were all out for 125, 63 runs short of victory.

For Oamaru, Nick Johnson took five wickets, while Grobler and Brad Flint took two wickets each.

At King George Park, Union took on Waitaki Boys.

Thanks to openers Thomas 36 and Jeremiah Shields 59, Union reached a highly competitive 256 for 8 of their 50 overs. Captain Blake James added 29, and Brad Fleming hit out in the final overs to reach 33 not out.

Jordan Horrell celebrated his return to North Otago Club Cricket taking 2-38 and Billy Wilson took 2-55.

When Horrell combined with Hunter Wardle it looked like Waitaki might have a chance of victory. The pair put on 103 for the 5th wicket. However, with the loss of Horrell for 70, coming off only 41 balls, the tail quickly fell. Waitaki all out for 211 in 39 overs, Wardle not out with 69. At the top of the order, Archie Rooney reached 33.

For Union Blake Martin took 5-37, Brad Fleming 3-27 and Scott Kitto 2-53.

The Valley game against Glenavy at Weston was called off early due to rain, with not a ball being bowled.
