A team from the Tureka Cricket Club journeyed to Ngapara yesterday afternoon, to try conclusions with the Ngapara-Maerewhenua team. This being one of the opening fixtures of the recently formed North Otago Cricket Association, more than an ordinary amount of interest was taken in the match, and large number of spectators, including a fair sprinkling of ladies, turned out to witness the game.
