The first match under the North Otago Cricket Association rules was played yesterday, October 19th, on Takaro Park, Oamaru, between the above Clubs, and resulted in a win for Hilderthorpe-Pukeuri by 21 runs. The weather was bitterly cold with occasional showers which made things very unpleasant. The bowling on both sides in the first innings was very deadly, no batsmen succeeding in reaching double figures. But in the second innings W Goodall and J. Moir for the combined team and Eggington for the Capulets were the only ones to reach the conveted double figures.
