Opener Ben Cant scored 102 as Union beat Oamaru by six wickets in a Dick Hunt Trophy match on Saturday.
A fifth-wicket stand of 135 between Jamie Ferris and Paul O'Dell carried Albion to a four wicket win over Valley.
Oamaru won the toss against Union and decided to bat first in the 50-over game. After slumping to 14 for four after nine overs, Oamaru made its way to 196 in the 48th over.
Cant, who started the slide, finished with three for 11, while Paul Johnston and Chris Smith took the remaining wickets for Union.
Union openers Cant and Smith produced an opening stand of 116 before Smith was out for 34. Cant, however, continued on to his century as Union passed the Oamaru total in the 43rd over with six wickets in hand. Jordan Horrell took two for 39 for Oamaru.
Albion survived a horror start in its chase for 188 to beat Valley at Awamoa Park. Valley won the toss and batted first, Nick Webster (40), Byron Neil (39) and Nathan McLaughlin (31) taking it to 187. For Albion, Ferris took six for 40 from his 10 overs, while Ryan Welsh claimed two for 40.
Albion started disastrously and after three overs was 11 for three, Dave Simpson taking three for six from his first two overs. Ferris and O'Dell turned the innings around with a fifth-wicket stand of 135 before O'Dell was out for 35. Ferris went on to make 60, and David Roulston and Dylan Winter saw Albion through to 188 for six in the 28th over. Simpson finished with three for 42 and Tom Squire two for 38.
