The North Otago senior representative cricket XI finished the 1977/78 season on a high note when they defeated Central Otago by nine wickets in a two day fixture played at Awamoa Park last weekend.

Left 80 runs for victory in their second innings, North Otago had little difficulty in reaching this target with two overs and three balls still remaining to be bowled, the final runs coming from a six from Gary Smith back over the bowlers head.
