Albion won one of its twenty20 games on Saturday and tied the other with Union while Valley and Oamaru also scored wins the two rounds played on Saturday.

In the first round, Union batted first against Valley and made 156 for eight in its 20 overs, with Stephan Grobler (31), Dan Conlan (31) and Brad Fleming (30) the major contributors. For Valley, Andrew Fisher took two for 33.

Valley won with 157 for seven, the winning runs coming in the 19th over, with Lewi Johnston (78 not out), Tom Squire (21) and Reece Petrie (20), the best batsmen. Fleming took three for 20.

Batting first, Albion made 152 for eight against Oamaru, with Matt Day (41) and Paul Odell (21) the major contributors while Ramon Singh took two for 43, Brady Kingan two for 21 and Mark Boardman two for 20.

Oamaru fell short, amassing only 148 for seven in its 20 overs, with Regan George (38), Reece Curle (33) and John Bartlett (21) showing form with the bat.

Valley batted first against Oamaru in its second game and made 157 for six. Byron Neil (26) and Cam Grubb (59) batted well while Reece Curle took two for 34.

Oamaru needed just 18 overs to pass the total of 161 for three, with James Mallinson on 59 and Regan George 49.

Albion and Union tied their second game. With Albion batting first, a fine partnership between Peter Cartwright (50) and Dylan Winter (28) saw the side through to 120 for seven in its 20 overs.

Bowling for Union, Matt Lilley took three for 21 and Dan Conlan three for 29.

.At the end of 20 overs, Union was 120 for three, with Paul Johnston (41) and Neil Rushton (62 not out) batting well while Matt Day took two for 21.
