North Otago won its final Hawke Cup warmup game yesterday when it defeated South Canterbury in Oamaru by seventy eight runs in a fifty over game at Milner Park. North Otago batted first and aided by an unbeaten 89,sixteen fours, from all-rounder Francois Mostert and a five fours 25 from opener Ben Cant, in its fifty overs made 170 for nine. Bowling for South Canterbury Kevin Teahen took three for 32 and Nick McGuire, three for 38.Wickets fell regularly in the South Canterbury innings with the side dismissed for 92 in the thirty fourth over with Phil Lill(26) and Jack Harper(20) the best of the batsmen. Bowling for North Otago Cant took three for 12 and Nathan Smith claimed three for 14.
