Albion and Union finish Dick Hunt T20 with wins

Union and Albion registered wins in the first round of the holiday competition played on Saturday.

Batting first against Albion, Valley batted through its 20 overs to be 112 for eight.

Cameron Grubb top-scored with 33 while Kerryn Weir took two for five.

Albion lost five wickets in the chase but passed the Valley total in the 16th over to be 113 for five.

Dylan Winter (33) and Jonty Naylor (30 not out) were the pick of the Albion batsmen, while Blair Malcolm.

Oamaru/St Kevins batted first against Union and made 159 for five in its 20 overs.

Ricky Singh (56), Jordan Bartlett (30) and Regan George (29) were the best with the bat while Isaac Shields took two for 17.

Union blasted the opposition bowling, racing through to 161 for one with Dylan Edwards (100 not out) and Jake Greenslade (31) the plunderers.
