Waitaki Boys High School maintained its lead in Borton Cup cricket with a solitary wicket win over Valley at Weston Park.Batting first Valley in its fifty overs made 192 for nine with Neil Gilbert(58) and Geoff Mavor(39) the major contributors while bowling for Waitaki Boys Josh Haywood claimed four for 30 and Nathan James,two for 36. Waitaki Boys passed the Valley total in the forty ninth over with Dallas Mahuika(28), Jonty Naylor(25) and Scott Kitto(20) the best of the batsmen. Bowling for Valley Hamish McKenzie took three for 23, Geoff Mavor,three for 34 and Nathan Barnes,two for 40.

An unbeaten century from Glynn Cameron guided Union to 241 for eight as it batted through fifty overs against Albion at Centennial Park.Cameron was 120 not out at the end of the innings with Dan Conlan chiming in with 47. Bowling for Albion Dylan Winter took five for 38, and Kerry Weir,two for 30.Albion was dismissed for 126 with Winter(29) and Shane Robinson(26) major contributors. Bowling for Union Paul Johnston took three for 25 off six overs and Isaac Shields claimed three for 26.
