Glenavy, Albion and Union picked up the maximum 10 points for wins in Borton Cup cricket.

At Weston Park, home side Valley batted first against Albion and lasted for 36 overs, making 170 runs.

Ollie Kinzett (25), Andrew Harding (24) and Nathan McLaughlin (67) were the pick of the batsmen, while Paul Odell marked his return to Borton Cup cricket by taking five for 41. He had solid support from Andrew Sewell, who claimed four for 45.

Albion passed the Valley target with 171 for six in 36 overs.

John Finn (21) and Alex Martin (54) were the best of the batsmen, while Jake Matthews took two for 40. Glenavy batted first against a new-look St Kevin's first XI and made 160 in 40 overs. Matt Tangney (54) and Stafford Adams (27) led the way while Jacob Fowler, bowling for the College side ,took three for 19.

Ben Kay claimed three for 19 and Anthony Docherty took two for 19.

In reply, St Kevin’s was bundled out for 101. Isaac Clunie top-scored with 28. Bowling for Glenavy, Zac Graham took five for 28 and Ryan Moffat took two for 15.

Brad Fleming (50), Thomas Shields (45) and Gary Singh (31) enabled Union to set Waitaki Boys’ the task of scoring 222.

Waitaki Boys replied with 181 as the 10th wicket fell in the 45th over.

Eli Johnson (30), Blake Martin (25) and George Mavor (18) top-scored while Glynn Cameron took five for 29.
