Competition leaders Albion won the toss against Valley and when play was halted was 44 for three after 12 overs. St Kevin's College put in to bat by Oamaru was 57 without loss after 13 overs with Sean Robertson 26 not out while Waitaki Boys High School sent in to bat by Union was 67 for one after 17 overs with Sean Eathorne unbeaten on 53.
