A meeting of delegates of cricket clubs was held in the Star and Garter Hotel on Saturday, there being present - Messrs Holmes, Cuthbertson, T. Cuthberston, Moir, Nelson, Gibb, Ogilvie, White, W. Schluter, R. Thomson, D. Herron, Hewat, Mowbray, Halpin, Monson, Aitken, W. McDonald, Crawshaw, Bain and Ongley.

The following clubs were represented: Oamaru, Tureka, Capulet, Pukeuri, Hilderthorpe, Maerewhenua and Ngapara.

The Waitaki Cricket Club wrote that they would abide by any decision the meeting might arrive at.

Mr Holmes was voted to the chair.

The question of forming an association was first discussed, and ultimately it was decided, by 13 votes to 3, to form an Association, an amendment to arrange matches being negative.

The clubs represented, with the addition of the Waitaki Club, were appointed to form the Association.

The following teams were arranged to compete in the Association matches :- Oamaru, two teams, Tureka, Capulet, and Waitaki, one team each; Pukerui and Hilderthorpe combined, one team; Maerewhenua and Ngapara combined, one team.

The Association Committee was settled to comprise a president, vice-president, and one delegate from each affiliated club.

The following officers were elected :- President, Mr Holmes; Vice-President, Mr Buckley; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr Ongley.

It was resolved that five form a quorum at Association Committee meetings.

IT was decided that the chairman of Committee meetings have a separate vote but that the Secretary have no vote.

The name of the Association was fixed as "The North Otago Cricket Association".

The annual fee for affiliated teams was fixed at 10s, 6d.

Messrs Hewat, Mowbarry and McDonald were appointed to draft rules for the Association and submit them for a future meeting.

It was resolved to play one round for the premiership, ties to be played off; fixtures to be arranged at next Committee meeting.
