North Otago had its second game of the season abandoned as wet weather had the final say in the Hawke Cup fxitrure against Southland in the weekend.

Not a ball was bowled as heavy rain during the week, and another heavy downpour on Friday and Saturday morning led to damp outfield.

They now have one game left in the season, against Mid Canterbury away, in a couple of weeks.
