Rain forced the abandonment of the two Dick Hunt holiday competition fixtures, in what shaping to be an exciting final round.

At King George Park home team Union took on Oamaru, with the winner qualifying for the final. Rain however had the final say as the game was abandoned 5.1 overs into the match, with Union being 26/0. Union qualified for the final, being the second-placed team going into the round.

The other match was effectivity a dead rubber, Albion playing Valley who had yet to record a win in the competition. Valley batted first and were 20/2, facing three overs before the rain forced players from the field.
