The Oamaru B team met the Capulets on Takaro Park ground yesterday and the game was witnessed by a large crowd of spectators. The Oamaru team batted first and with 8 wickets down for 84 Mowbray declared the innings closed. This left the Capulets two hours to play and 85 runs to win. Mowbrays somewhat hazardous "declaration" resulted disastrously for the Oamaru team, as thanks mainly to some vigorous hitting by D.Bee, backed up by useful innings by McGhie, Crawford and Mitchell the Capulets secured the required runs at a cost of 8 wickets.
